We require a driven and enthusiastic Senior Bookkeeper who can work as part of a team to deliver an outstanding experience for our clients.
This is a great opportunity to manage a wide range of bookkeeping tasks for over 30 clients in a rapidly growing business working closely with our accounting team. You will be responsible for the bookkeeping work for a portfolio of clients, overseeing the workflow of our offshore team, and providing exceptional client service.
Job Summary:
The role is well suited for an individual looking for a long-term position and wishing to take on a wide range of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, and someone who can work on a portfolio of business clients across different industries and maintain excellent relationships with both clients and the teams.
You will be responsible for client workflow and ensuring monthly targets are hit. Your main role will be a reviewer of work by our offshore team, as well as completing some of the more advanced work yourself.
The candidate must have great communication and interpersonal skills as there is a lot of client engagement and internal team interaction. Some days will be worked from home and some in the office so you will also need to be self-motivated and able to work independently at times
Job Responsibilities:
- Bank Reconciliations
- End to End Payroll and Payroll Tax
- Quarterly and Monthly BAS’s
- Preparation and reviewing of monthly reporting (P&L, BS etc)
- Accounts Payable/ Receivable
- Journal Entries
- Maintaining Asset Registers
- Payroll audits
- Xero Conversions or Set-ups
About You:
- Bookkeeping qualification
- Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in bookkeeping
- A good knowledge of various Payroll Awards
- In depth experience in the preparation and review BAS’s, P&Ls, Cash flow statement Balance Sheet reports & Payrolls
- Excellent knowledge of Xero and MYOB
- Knowledge of Asana, Deputy, Hub Doc and other add-ons desirable
- Can quickly learn how to use new software and programmes
- Extremely high attention to detail
- A committed, and flexible attitude
- Must have strong communication skills, an excellent work ethic and can work both independently and as part of a team
- Highly organised and able to plan and prioritise daily tasks in a fast-paced environment
- A fun, friendly and positive attitude and a great willingness to learn
- Be able to build strong relationships with clients
