Job description

NDIS Bookkeeper

We are looking for a motivated team player who is passionate about customer service and building relationships. The ideal candidate will bring energy, enthusiasm, and initiative with a drive to grow the company and their career.

You will also provide support to our allied health practitioners to deliver quality outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage the financial records of our NDIS participants.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents efficiently and accurately.
  • Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure precise financial reporting.
  • Stay updated with NDIS rules and changes that may impact financial reporting and management.
  • Maintain and expand our referrer relationships to foster continuous growth.
  • Process billings for multiple funding streams – Private, Medicare, DVA, NDIS, HICAPS.
  • Handle general administrative tasks including emails, calls, reporting, and filing.
  • Assist with internal audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the coordination of NDIS plans and funding.
  • Ensure all compliance and documentation requirements are met and up to date.
  • Perform any general ad-hoc administrative duties as required.
  • Prepare and process payroll for all staff members, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Oversee financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial transactions to ensure the company's financial health.
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors to prepare annual accounts and tax returns.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in administration and bookkeeping.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organisation skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
  • Experience with NDIS and PRODA systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in payroll processing and financial planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
