The Role

Forecast demand in the senior living sector and Stonebank Group’s continued growth has led us to seek an ambitious Project Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate would manage some combination of aged care, retirement living and/or hospitality projects, assisting with some large-scale developments. 

This role will be based in our office in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD so the team can collaborate and assist with each other’s projects. Travel to project sites, currently in metropolitan Melbourne, will be required.

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be responsible for excellent management of our scope of project management services, achieve the relevant deadlines and ensuring key stakeholders’ satisfaction.

We’re seeking an ambitious new team member with:

• a tertiary qualification in project management, construction management, engineering, architecture or related field,
• a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, working directly for a reputable contractor, developer, architecture firm or project management consultancy,
• demonstrated experience managing residential and commercial projects, ideally some aged care, retirement living and/or hospitality projects,
• a genuine interest in project management and project delivery
• excellent communication and problem-solving skills,
• thorough risk identification and management skills, and
• an ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise from project inception to completion in partnership with Development Managers and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are scoped, designed, built and delivered on time, budget and to required quality specification.
• Facilitate, manage and drive efficiency through project cost plans in partnership with Development Managers, authorities, consultant and contractors to realise value for money.
• Achieve project construction milestones across multiple construction fronts.
• Demonstrate innovation to create financial benefit for the projects.
• Demonstrate implementing solutions to construction challenges.
• Manage and contribute to relationships with key stakeholder groups including the contractors, consultants, approval authorities to achieve required business outcomes for our clients.
• Establish partnering relationships with relevant external contractors, consultants and suppliers to facilitate cost, value and/ or program efficiencies.
• Ensue project priorities are clearly established and frequently communicated with all key stakeholders.
• Provide proactive risk identification, management and mitigation.
• Effective accountability and implementation of risk and compliance management within your area of control.
