Our client, a leading Australian owned agribusiness with a strong focus on regional Victoria and servicing a variety of customers throughout the state, has an opportunity to join their team to assist with the ongoing oversight of capital works at their industry leading feed mills, as well as working with the Directors and Board to assist with projects aligned with business growth.
About the Role
As Projects Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end oversight of projects across our client's business. This includes new asset identification, upgrades across existing facilities and capital improvements that may be required. You will review internal tools and functions to assist with improvements and be responsible for delivering completed capital works in a timely fashion. You will also ensure you are across industry trends and related businesses to identify future opportunities for growth.
Other key areas of responsibility include:
- Oversight for all project related areas (costs, contractors, operational expense control and go-live).
- Manage all CAPEX including risk, safety and legislative requirements
- Ensure best practices and specifications for all Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Instrumental and Automation.
- Work with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and identify CAPEX opportunities.
- Oversee and manage PM programs.
- Identify future areas for growth and business transformation projects.
The Person
To be successful in this role, you will have 5+ years experience working in a similar function. Ideally you will have a relevant degree in an Engineering related field (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Trade Certification) and have experience managing multiple projects of different sizes and budgets. Experience working in an aligned role with Grains or Commodity companies would be preferred, however experience in end-to-end project management is mandatory. You will have strong business acumen, be comfortable working in a diverse and busy environment.
