POSITION PURPOSEPrimary Position Function
The Project Manager’s primary role is to oversee the physical, technical and people functions of Mandandanji as the key liaison between the Board and all staff (including contractors) via;
- Leadership to deliver on Reputation and Community obligations.
- Management of Cultural Heritage to include all CHMP’s/CHMA’s.
- Supply opportunity creation within the business.
- Transparency through report management

- Lead or participate in networks across the business/industry in functional expertise to ensure solid understanding of the business and community.
Safety
- Work in a safe manner which is outcomes focused, inspires performance, and results in a working environment that executes deliverables.
- Will comply with all relevant Occupational, Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation, codes of practice, standards, policies, operating procedures and work instructions and be actively involved in Origin Energy Health, Safety and Environment Systems and Procedures.
- A proactive approach to ensuring that all staff members are kept safe. This includes actively participating/leading in HSE toolbox meetings, safety shares, reporting and close out Mandandanji QHSE Policies
Leadership
- Provide leadership and liaise across different disciplines within the business, across communities and with proponents and clients to ensure successful interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and execution of the Cultural Heritage Program across all elements e.g. communication, training, continuous improvement, stakeholder management.
- Share knowledge within the team and actively work towards building capability within the group, a positive team culture and environment where knowledge and skills are shared openly.
Performance
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Mandandanji Programs and obligations whilst performing system support and maintenance.
- Liaise across different disciplines within the business and successfully interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate regular system maintenance checks ensuring data is accurate and continually looking at measures for improvement.
- Assist with Proponents as well as manage internal & external stakeholder enquiries. • Support the Business, Administrative and Cultural Heritage teams with implementation and ongoing support e.g. training.
- Execute appropriate Assurance Plan to ensure compliance to appropriate policies and procedures.
- Fulfil other duties as may be required.

What types of decision are made by this position on a regular basis?
The incumbent:
- Will identify, report, and resolve potential breaches.
- Will coordinate the recruitment and selection of all employees and independent contractors.
- Will contribute to seeking out business improvement opportunities.
- Will be responsible for coordinating work scopes and selection of employees for assigned tasks including developing budgets.
- Will invoice proponents and customers based on agreed budgets.
- Will be required to challenge suppliers and proponents, if a task that is being undertaken, or is about to be undertaken, appears unsafe.

- Internal and/or external relationships that are in conflict with Mandandanji principles, commitments and values.
- Liaison at all levels within Mandandanji.

Essential:
- A demonstrable affinity with regional culture.
- Self-reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in the administration and management of Proponents and knowledge of Cultural Heritage/Native Title.
- Background in Project Management administration/procurement/supplier prequalification.
- Advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Office and relevant database software programs.
- High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact and work with internal and external parties as required.
- High level of skill in multi-tasking, prioritization and time management in demanding environment.
- Excellent negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment.
- A preparedness to learn and adopt new work practices, systems and procedures.
- Motivated and highly efficient, proactive ad professional with respect for confidentiality.
- Ability to occasionally travel between regional and CBD locations.
Desirable:
- Firsthand local knowledge of the applicable regional footprint.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in the fields of Cultural Heritage and/or Native Title.
- Tertiary qualification in Business related discipline desirable.
