Our client excels in both managing projects for clients and handling its own boutique developments with investors. The role is based in Woollahra, in a dynamic, non-corporate environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in easing the workload of current leadership, contributing significantly to the company's ongoing success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate Development applications, S4.55 applications, construction certificates, Occupation certificates, and strata bonds.
- Chair and document meetings with builders and consultants.
- Manage tender processes, including assessing submissions, and coordinate RFI, variation, and time extension claims from builders.
- Handle monthly progress claims and cost reporting.
- Fulfill the superintendent role.
- Prepare feasibility models and conduct highest and best use assessments for clients.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as the primary Project Manager, specifically in multi-unit residential and commercial buildings.
- Minimum 5 years of client-side project management experience in the construction/building industry.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deal directly with clients.
- Relevant building/construction qualification or trade experience (not engineering).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Degree in Construction Management, Property Development, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a Project Manager in built-form projects.
- Experience on the contractor/builder side with a deep understanding of building standards and the full development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence, and lead.
