Project Manager
Great opportunity to join a premier Building & Development Company, that currently have projects throughout NSW predominately Sydney Metro, Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven regions both in construction and in the pipeline.
Saf Developments is an established Sydney based builder & developer, operating across primarily residential sector of the construction industry. Our Projects ranging from Seniors Housing, Prestige Homes, Industrial units to Multi unit developments. We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Project Manager, to take on some exciting design and construct projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to be based in the Sydney Office with a mix of on site duties.
The ideal applicant will be required to manage multiple Projects through the life of procurement, from feasibility to post-occupation.
As Project Manager, you will enjoy the autonomy, to deliver the project, yet still have an established and experience team around you, to both support & assist when required.
Project responsibilities will be managing cash flow and cost reporting, negotiating trades, QA, project scheduling and programming, submission of claims and OH&S.
To be considered for this role you must hold previous Site / Project Management experience delivering building projects above $5m plus in value.
You will be:-
- Liaising with clients, councils, building & design consultants and building trades
- Managing project costs, schedules & construction programs
- Providing clear and focused leadership to project teams
- Project planning and execution and managing the activities of design, procurement and construction through regular reviews of progress and costs
- Proposing alternatives solutions to overcome project issues
- Tendering contracts through all procurement stages
- Drafting and writing up scopes, contracts, RFI's & other construction based documentation requirements
Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years working on Commercial & Residential projects within the building construction industry.
- Solid computer skills
- Comprehensive OHS knowledge
- High level leadership and management skills and effective team management skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in on-site construction project management.
- Proven experience in managing Class 2 construction projects is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Australian construction regulations and standards; particularly the BDP Act.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
