What's on offer?
We wish to complement our existing Utilities business with an experienced Senior Project Manager for upcoming major project opportunities in Sydney. These projects involve both the delivery of new water/wastewater infrastructure as well as upgrading existing water utility assets within brownfield operational sites. You will play a key role in managing the complete lifecycle of the project through tendering, design, procurement, construction and commissioning - all the while enhancing our strong relationship with our blue-chip client.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
• Interacting with the pre-contracts team to support delivery methodology, risk and opportunity, scheduling and cost estimating for tender submissions.
• Manage the delivery of projects/areas on time and within budget without compromising safety, quality or environmental compliance.
• Provide leadership, direction and guidance to project staff in resolving complex issues.
• Coordinate delivery activities to achieve project schedule and budget objectives.
• Effective use of project production controls to reliably forecast accurate completion metrics that inform timely internal and external project reporting.
• Interact closely with the Commercial Manager to support both upstream and downstream contract management.
• Effectively and professionally manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain adherence to established benchmarks of HSEQ, cost and project performance.
• Ensure the project activities are adequately resourced taking into consideration all variables including project requirements, complexity, and budget constraints.
How you'll connect to the role:
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or another relevant field
• Demonstrated experience in the successful project management of complex Design & Construct infrastructure projects above $25M contract value.
• Sound knowledge of project financial management, forecasting, procurement, contract management, and design management functions
• Experience and proven capability to work collaboratively with clients under any type of contract commercial model.
• Strong stakeholder liaison skills - client relationship development and management are key
• Brownfield infrastructure construction experience (water/wastewater preferred)
