Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a permanent, full-time role. This position, based in Sydney or Brisbane, will involve travel to various project sites across states as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish project construction programs, including plant acquisition and commissioning.
- Solely manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
- Prepare weekly product delivery reports for the Construction Manager.
- Identify and forecast project risks and opportunities, maintaining the project risk register.
- Prepare project tenders and bids, and liaise with clients.
- Coordinate and manage all project resources, including personnel, plant, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and procedures related to Workplace Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality.
- Drive commitment to quality within the Project Management Plan.
- Assist in resolving technical problems encountered during contract works.
- Drive ongoing efficiency and improvements in operations, focusing on time and budget.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project.
We seek candidates with a strong focus on health and safety, integrity, and the ability to drive performance excellence. To be successful, you should have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience in piling and/or ground engineering.
- A sound understanding of geotechnical and foundation systems.
- Demonstrated management experience, preferably in a similar position.
- Ability to train, supervise, and mentor engineers, operators, and supervisors.
- Understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of projects, Australian contract laws, and construction management procedures.
- Construction White Card.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Management/Project Management qualifications are desirable.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Candidates should be available for required workdays and comply with relevant policies regarding drugs and alcohol.
- Compliance with all applicable company policies and work procedures is essential.
- Salary range: $150,000 - $170,000 per annum plus superannuation.
- Company-provided vehicle, laptop, and phone.
- Travel required, including potential stays away from home up to 1-2 nights per week on regional projects. Expenses, accommodation, and travel will be covered.
