In it’s 185th year, David Jones is currently in the midst of a dynamic organisational wide transformation as it transitions back into Australian ownership. With a focus on delivering our Vision2025+ strategy, along with our evolution to a Thriving culture, the Project Manager will manage the design and construction of business and external vendor initiatives to achieve the company strategy. You will work closely with our merchandise, construction, visual merchandise and our store operations teams to manage an annual program of business and vendor initiatives across the existing store network. This role will suit an organised and curious Project professional looking to make a real impact with an iconic Australian Retailer.

Please note this is a Full Time Limited Tenure position until March 2024.

What does this role involve?

Managing the annual programme of business and vendor initiatives across the existing store network
Work closely with the Store Operations teams to ensure store disruption is minimised if not eliminated
Manage project budgets and provide accurate design construction cost estimates
Maintain weekly project development
Tender and award building contracts managing the construction phase
Maintain and grow key relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Who are we looking for?

Demonstrated experience in tenancy coordination, project management or a similar role
Strong initiative and project management skills
Demonstrated ability manage complex, time-dependent deliverables and work within a fast-paced environment whilst balancing competing interests
Strong contract negotiation skills
Ability to work alongside a range of key stakeholders in order to achieve business outcomes
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Ability to read and understand plans and technical data
