Seeking a Civil Construction PM to oversee the redevelopment of a Fremantle Harbour logistics site, coordinating the infrastructure project.
We are currently seeking an experienced Civil ConstructionProject Managerto oversee the redevelopment of a Fremantle Inner Harbour logistics site, coordinating the delivery of the infrastructure project. With overall responsibility of the planning, coordination, and delivery of the 3-tiered projects in line with the designated timeframes. Must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and superior organisational, planning and reporting skills.The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong focus on day-to-day safety and a deep understanding of Safety Systems, compliance and will demonstrate a strong sense of ownership while working constructively with key stakeholders to successfully deliver project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Manage the redevelopment works, driving project performance and service delivery, whilst minimalising the impact on the existing operations
- Reporting to the corporate Director of Projects will collaborate with Site Manager, Design Engineers and the Management Team to determine the specifications of the project
- Provide clear and effective leadership, direction, safety and ensure the quality assurance systems are followed, whilst providing a positive and cohesive work environment
- Demonstrate robust management and leadership skills
- Monitoring, modifying (as required), forecasting the commercial performance of the project and reporting to the management team on a weekly basis
- Liaising with the site to ensure works are adequately resourced and coordinated with ongoing site operations to deliver to the project requirements
- Directing, managing and the evaluation of suppliers, contractors and consultants associated with the projects and coordinating the execution of the contracts in place
- Assist with additional bids and tenders as required
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues Ensuring that work areas, methods, materials, and equipment meet Environmental and WHS regulations and standards through inspections and tests.
- Audit the Contractor’s compliance with the Conditions of Approval, lease conditions, licenses and other approvals
Key Requirements:
- Previous Project Management experience within civils, logistics, substations, electrical and/or infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience of delivering multidisciplinary project teams and working with a design and engineering consultancy will be beneficial
- Strong communication, leadership and report writing skillsets
- Experience working with civil contractor and sub-contractor teams within transportation projects will be desirable
- The ability to effectively manage project set-up and planning and implement risk and change management during project delivery to ensure positive project outcomes
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software (MS office, MS project)
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal micro-management
- Relevant Civil, Structural, Construction, Engineering Qualifications and Experience
