About the Opportunity
This large organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to spearhead this high-impact initiative. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver a secure and robust cloud hosting platform, ensuring the successful migration of mission-critical applications while maintaining top-tier security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
You will lead a large, complex ICT project, adhering to PMO policies and standards, and work closely with stakeholders to drive innovation and enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Analyse, evaluate, and deploy cutting-edge cloud solutions aligned with business objectives and operational challenges.
- Manage the entire project lifecycle, from detailed scope definition to execution, risk assessment, and success measurement.
- Deliver high-quality cloud solutions within budget, scope, and schedule, ensuring adherence to architecture and data standards.
- Strategically manage business requirements across units, identifying synergies and driving implementation.
- Ensure compliance relevant legislation, and directives.
- Provide leadership and navigate complex issues across divisions and with stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative environment, establishing best practices and expanding cloud capabilities.
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Validate key design options and present proposal solutions, facilitating technical workshops with project teams and SMEs.
- Implement delivery frameworks/methodologies for cloud projects, aligning with industry best practices and the organisation's cloud strategy.
- Oversee and manage external cloud vendors, including RFT process support, project tracking, and deliverables monitoring.
- Engage in change management activities and training initiatives for successful cloud solution adoption.
Experience You'll Need to Have
- Expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms, with in-depth knowledge of CloudWatch, EC2, Azure Monitor, Data and SQL Database.
- Over 10 years of extensive Project Management experience, specialising in technology implementation and cloud migration projects.
- Proficiency in Agile, waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies, with a pragmatic approach to selecting and implementing methodologies based on project requirements.
- Proven record of managing cloud implementations, including cloud security and integration projects.
- Skilled in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and cloud-specific platforms.
- Certification as a Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master designation is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills in complex cloud environments.
- Experience in government organisations, with an understanding of cloud governance, compliance, and security requirements in the public sector.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of leading discussions, delivering technical presentations, and crafting detailed documentation.
