Project Manager – Concrete
Fly in / Fly Out Remote Location Role – 2 weeks on / 1 week off

About the role:
Centrals currently have as a result of company growth a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated Project Manager, with experience in the management of Concrete Placement construction projects within the mining sector. You will be required to work at our remote sites on a 2:1 roster and spend time in our Osborne Park Head Office when required.
The primary purpose of the Project Manager is to accept accountability for all aspects of the project, build a strong working relationship with the client and to profitably manage all aspects of the work scope, including but not limited to, scheduling, planning, resources allocation, site management, commercial and financial tracking and overall performance.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the mining and resources Industry specific to remote Civil Construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of the project team to ensure deadlines and work requirements are achieved;
- Responsible for the overall management of multi-discipline team of people and equipment, delivering a ensure we meet client expectations and deliver our contractual requirements;
- Liaison with client contract coordinators, engineers, production personnel, safety and environmental personnel;
- Produce and manage to budget, control costs and allocate resources, plant and materials to meet work requirements.
- Control and maintain all company assets onsite, produce and maintain related documentation;
- Oversee your project team to ensure the quality of work is to a high standard and conforms to specifications.
- Safety is important to the company and must be managed to the highest standard.
- Ensure all environmental requirements are achieved;
- Produce regular reports and all other paperwork specific to the site & client in a timely manner to meet contract and company reporting requirements;
- Conduct prestart, toolbox and other meetings to ensure that all site personnel are kept involved with safety, health and environmental requirements and other information necessary for the effective conduct of the site;
About you:
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:
- Have at least 10 years Project Management experience in the Mining & Resources Industry, specifically working on civil and concrete projects on remote sites.
- Preferable either Engineering Qualification or Trade Qualification.
- Specific experience in Concrete Placement is vital!
- Strong analytical, arithmetical and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong financial management and people skills
- Advanced computer skills with word, excel, Pronto, Internet, etc
- Strong safety & quality focus
- History of working on remote construction sites
Eligibility:
All candidates must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen and able to obtain a National Police clearance valid within 6 months.
