A statutory authority responsible for protecting the environment. You’ll work with the quality team based in Melbourne.
Your new role
Reporting to the Team Leader, Environmental Audit; you’ll:
Lead a complex project that involves establishing a new environmental auditor appointment process and delivering this process in 2023
Develop a project plan, which includes problem definition, identifying and delivering the proposed solution, establishing relationships, and required partnerships and leading and engaging a working group to ensure the successful delivery of the project within budget and timeframes
Support the function of the environmental audit program during project delivery down time which includes the appointment, re-appointment, quality assurance program and updating on any standard operating procedures or guidance as required
Drive improvements in the quality of environmental audits, aligned to organisations strategic priorities to prevent the risk of harm to the environment and human health from pollution and waste
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll have a thorough understanding of project management as well as:
Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, or equivalent
A detailed understanding of the Environment Protection Act 2017 and regulations
Proven ability to manage complex projects within a complex regulatory and public policy context
