About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Development Project Manager.This role will work within the RES Australia Development team, with responsibility for the development of wind, solar and/or battery storage projects from pre-planning stages right through to financial close. Day to day activity will include project management, stakeholder management, assessment of project economics and commercial drivers, state planning activities through to permitting and project commercialization support to financial close.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for managing multiple projects in various development stages, executing project management excellence and management of project team and deliverables through all development phases.
- Deliver your projects on time, within budget and achieving revenue targets.
- Commercial viability of your projects and optimisations to improve economic model
- Work with commercial team to establish route to market for your projects
- Track project budget and program
- Manage project risks throughout each stage of the project up to financial close
- Prepare planning applications and environmental impact assessments
- Plan and co-ordinate internal resources and external consultancies to deliver renewable energy projects through the development process to achieve Development Consent and up to financial close
- Manage external stakeholders, relationships and communications through the design and implementation of innovative community engagement strategies
Skills & Experience:
Full life cycle development process of renewable energy projects preferred
Experienced in community liaison and stakeholder management
Planning and environmental impact assessment requirements
Managing relationships, including with complex and challenging stakeholders
Creation and management of programmes and budgets
Resource management, organisational skills and follow through on delivery
Project management experience essential
Stakeholder management experience essential
