About Us

Quantum-Systems is at the forefront of autonomous, AI-powered aerial robotics globally. Our Australian subsidiary, Quantum-Systems Australia, operates in the Defence, Security, and Commercial markets, specialising in Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAS) in the Asia-Pacific region. 

The Position

This new position is instrumental in directing and executing projects across the defence, government, and commercial sectors, prioritising project timelines, budget adherence, and performance metrics. This position encompasses direct client engagement, thorough oversight of project life cycles, and ensuring projects align with Quantum-Systems’ strategic objectives and our diverse client portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate projects in defence, government, and commercial sectors from initiation to closure.
• Interpret and comply with project specifications in tandem with the contracting team.
• Formulate and review subcontractor scopes, integrating reporting requirements and schedules.
• Conduct Project Risk Analysis and deploy strategies to mitigate risks.
• Uphold superior customer satisfaction levels across all sectors.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams, aligning interdependencies and priorities.
• Facilitate effective communication to ensure streamlined project execution.
• Develop exhaustive project plans, encompassing budget, EAC, and resource management.
• Report project status employing advanced project management tools and methodologies.

About you

You are a highly motivated Project Manager with strong organisation skills and initiative to deliver results. You provide solutions through logical, creative and innovative thinking and timely, transparent and consultative decision making. You communicate with impact and display resilience in working collaboratively.

You have significant exposure or direct experience managing complex programs for defence or government customers and know what good project management looks like.

Qualifications & Skills

Required 

• Tertiary degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field, or substantial relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in project management, preferably within the defence, government, or commercial sectors.
• Eligibility for an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
• Working knowledge of Project Management practices and tools.

Desirable

• Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• Demonstrated leadership in complex project environments, with a strategic and collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Prior experience in UAS or similar high-tech sectors, showcasing an ability to manage technologically advanced projects.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
