Position description: Project Manager.pdf

Our story

Our journey to transform BEN into and bigger, better, stronger, and more impactful business is well underway. Our Transformation will radicallysimplify our business, modernise our technology and digitise our customer journeys, supporting our people to provide exceptional service and relevant solutions to meet customer needs.

Historically BEN Business Banking and Rural Bank have existed as two entirely separate businesses, with Rural previously existing as a separate banking organisation. Since 2019 activity has gradually been underway to bring the two businesses together into a consolidated Business & Agri (Rural) division of BEN.

During 2024 the formal migration will be undertaken to move Rural across to BEN products, platforms, policies, and processes. To support this consolidation, and the future growth of the combined Business & Agri division, there is also the introduction of a new consolidated CRM and end-to-end product origination platform happening simultaneously.

From 2025 onwards Business & Agri will look to evolve and further build out its new consolidated ecosystem, leveraging modern release and change methods to accelerate features and capabilities that will benefit customers and bankers.

As the Project Manager (Implementation) you'll focus on...

  • Project Planning - developing detailed business and technology implementation plans, schedules, and timelines. Developing, and maintaining detailed go-live checklists and contingency plans.
  • Vendor Management - coordinating between vendor(s) and internal teams to ensure alignment and address concerns, ensuring that the vendor's activities align with the project plan and organisational objectives.
  • Governance- demonstrating a bias for action and influence to drive decision making that moves us forward at pace. Providing regular status updates and reports to the Program Manager and key stakeholders. Facilitating approvals and signoffs at various project stages.
  • Quality Releases - coordinating with delivery teams and stakeholders to facilitate release readiness activities and resolve issues. Planning and executing the production implementation, cut over, and go-live activities. Maintaining comprehensive implementation documentation, including implementation plans, test results, and go-live records.
  • Stakeholder Management - contributing to the development of clear pre and post go-live communications for internal and external stakeholders. Maintaining clear and consistent communication with key stakeholders.
  • Financial Management - take an enterprise view and 'owner's mindset', constantly looking for opportunities to optimise spending.
  • Ways of Working - an active user and champion for leveraging collaboration tools and practices and maximising automation.
  • Risk Management - pro-actively identifying, managing and monitoring risks or issues.

About you
  • Broad based Project Management experience within a large complex organisation is required.
  • Ability to lead projects ensuring objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
  • Exposure to implementing SAAS, CRM and/or end-to-end product origination platforms would be extremely desirable.
  • Experience with data migrations highly desirable.
  • Specialisation in managing the full Release Management cycle.
  • Experience facilitating workshops with large groups of stakeholders to meet an outcome.
  • Exposure to working with strategic partners and vendors.
  • IT Change management experience.
  • Experience in supporting and empowering teams in an agile environment.
