Looking for a Project Manager (Non-ICT) to allocate appropriate resources to deliver quality, timely and value for a known Government department.
- 3-month contract role with possible extension of up to 12 months.

You will be responsible for allocating appropriate resources to deliver quality, timely and value for money outcomes that are fit-for-purpose and compliant with relevant standards, policies, and legislation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead the delivery of simple to complex works to deliver great services.
- Work with considerable independence to coordinate and deliver projects.
- Manage the planning, and delivery of complex projects and tasks within the parameters set by senior management, the governance board and Government.
- Build relationships with business areas and other stakeholders to identify and manage project risks and issues, as well as report on project status using plans on a page, dashboards and reports that engage and inform senior leaders.
- Conduct assurance activities and provide advice to senior management.
- Apply well-developed skills in project management to meet demanding schedules as well as provide professional advice and assistance to other officers and managers. These skills will include, project planning, project budget management and approvals.
- Responsible for supervising, managing, and motivating a small team and providing appropriate support and guidance.
- Effective employee engagement skills are a key enabler in the performance of this role as is a values-based leadership style.
- Should have an innate ability to draw on the right skills in a contextually and environmentally appropriate manner, align team performance and develop capacity to achieve organisational objectives.
- Require extensive knowledge of and compliance with government decision-making, project management best practice.
- Experience and comprehensive knowledge of project management principles.
- Extensive stakeholder engagement and will be required to identify relevant stakeholders’ expectations and concerns to develop a clear understanding of the methodology and practices to achieve outcomes.
