Our Queensland State Government client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage the delivery and adoption of an exciting emergency services mobilisation application ensuring it transitions smoothly to business as usual by the end of 2024. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project resources, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation to deliver on-time, within scope, and within budget
Key responsibilities- Ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget by enabling and supporting suppliers, stakeholders, and specialist resources.
- Adhere to the Branch framework, ensuring effective and efficient project management through detailed documentation.
- Oversee project plans, schedules, risks, issues, budgets, cost tracking, and ensure adherence to corporate policies, procurement, and assurance frameworks.
- Offer strategic advice and recommendations to decision-makers at all levels regarding project deliverables and progress.
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and various stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project milestones and objectives.
- Inspire and lead project streams and team members, fostering a positive working culture and ensuring alignment with project deliverables and department values.
- At least 10 years of experience in project management, particularly with enterprise applications, preferably within a government organization.
- Highly developed skills in managing projects across the full lifecycle in complex environments.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams and streams.
- Experience in fostering a cohesive and effective working culture to achieve project deliverables.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate, and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in managing vendors and contracts, including gated assurance and contract reviews.
- Proven ability to manage procurements and contracts in alignment with government policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business and technology integration for ICT-led projects.
- Experience in applying change management processes and understanding the impact of change within client-focused organisations.
- Initial 6-month contract on an exciting project
- Work for a large QLD State Government department.
- Hybrid working arrangements from their Brisbane CBD location.
