Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking Construction Project Manager - Property Fitout and Capital Works to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.
About the role:
As a Project Manager, you will be managing end-to-end construction project management including, planning, design, approvals, procurement, delivery and handover. In addition, you will:
- Lead and manage detailed and sensitive property projects.
- Write business cases, plans, executive briefs, project reports, status updates and exception reports.
- Develop research and analysis, including the preparation of draft reports on project activities.
- Manage the project budgets, reviewing and reporting on expenditure.
- Identify and manage program governance including the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Establish and manage procurement and contracts for the delivery of the programme and monitor contractor performance.
- Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage high performance and collaborative behaviours.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Project Management role
- Proven background in leading projects within property management, office fitout, and Capital Works with complex scope
- Relevant experience in project leadership and management roles
- Deep knowledge of Construction Management systems and principles
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills
