About St Basil’s Homes NSW/ACT

St. Basil’s Homes NSW & ACT is an activity of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and was established specifically to provide care and lifestyle options to ageing Australians. We have 4 locations across Sydney: Kogarah, Lakemba, Miranda and Randwick as well as a community care program across the Sydney metropolitan suburbs. At St. Basil’s, we think of our consumers as our family.

Our services include Residential Aged Care, Home and Community Services and Retirement Villages.


Come join our team at St Basil’s Miranda. Conveniently located near public transport, plenty of staff parking available, and you'll be working alongside an incredibly supportive team. We're currently looking for two (2) individuals to fill Part-time and casual shifts.

About the role

As a Registered Nurse you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive resident experience and lead our care team to deliver safe and effective both consumer choice and clinical care to our residents.

Collaborating closely with our care team, this position entails ensuring that our residents receive the care they need with dignity, respect and involving them in all decisions about their health. Responsibilities include ensuring safe and high-quality care aligned with Aged Care Quality Standards, thorough documentation, and promoting a team-oriented environment.

At St Basil’s we strive for excellence in providing best practice care in companionship, and emotional support to residents to help support their independence and improve their quality of life by enhancing their psychological, spiritual, social, and physical well-being.
 


To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Current Registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting
  • Excellent clinical knowledge
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Experience and ability to coordinate services, supervise staff as well as in-charge experience
  • Passion for enhancing the lives of older people and an understanding the needs of people living with dementia.
  • Ability and willingness to work across all shifts (AM, PM, and night)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as the confidence to work independently
  • Three doses of COVID-19 Vaccination
  • Current Influenza Vaccination
