This dynamic, client focused boutique construction company have a well-established track record of delivering a diverse range of high quality new build and refurbishment projects in Sydney. It is through this results orientated approach that they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver a brand new luxury residential project of 6 townhouses.
The business specialises in both residential and commercial projects, and they are starting a new project to build 6 townhouses with a heritage facade/brickwork and a retained roof structure, that is being underpinned and supported to excavate a basement level car park, valued at $12m. It will be a concrete structure over 4 levels with a lift in each, with a penthouse level on top. This is a permanent opportunity within the business, and this will be your first project based in Balmain.
The Role:
As a Project Manager, your job will be to oversee the full delivery of the project. They are looking for someone that has ideally worked on a similar type of project before, as it is a highly technical project on a logistically challenging site with a tower crane. You will have a full site and office team to support you - with a Contract Administrator, Site Manager and Site Foreman reporting to you. You will report to the Project Director and senior management team.
We are looking for a person ideally with the following experience and skill set:
- Detailed bulk and Rock/sandstone excavation
- Boundary shoring works
- Worked on a site with Tower Cranes / logistics management
- Temporary façade restraint systems (temporary structural steel)
- Built structures with off form concrete, interfacing with heritage and existing building elements
- Underpinning works / supporting suspended buildings
- Worked on a site with industrial and heritage components
- Worked with detailed structural steel structures (both temporary and permanent)
- Ideally proficient with Procore
- Experience with cost management and budget reports
- Effective communicator with stakeholders and subcontractors
- Proficient and effective programmer – for purposes of driving and maintaining critical path activities and key milestones (ideally Microsoft Project).
- Proactive and positive thinker / personality
- Able to motivate, mentor and manage direct reports
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with Project Delivery Team, Subcontractors and Authorities.
