About the Role:
Reporting to the Manager Major Projects , this role will lead the design and construction of multiple infrastructure projects.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong communication skills who can drive a challenging project schedule whilst also engaging with internal council stakeholders to ensure the project delivers on their requirements as the asset owner/ operator.
the successful candidate will:
Manage the design and infrastructure delivery phase community construction projects.
Achieve project delivery goals (encompassing scope, quantity, quality, and time, safety, environmental and cost) by actively coordinating and overseeing the planning, design, procurement, contract negotiation, construction and hand over processes across the organisation.
Collaborate with and coordinate internal and external resources to optimise project outcomes
Support the Division and Project Delivery Manager (Capital Works) on the development, implementation, management and reporting of the project.
To be successful in your application you will demonstrate:
Degree qualification in a construction, engineering, project management, or other relevant field.
Current Class C Drivers Licence
General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Knowledge of managing the construction of infrastructure projects or capital works projects, particularly within a developed urban environment
Relevant experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams including staff, consultants and contractors in delivering large and diverse construction projects
Sound experience in developing and effectively managing construction project plans and budgets at all phases of construction projects

Desirable Criteria
Knowledge and experience using Project Management Software (ie Acconex, Procore or Similar).
Proficiency in undertaking Records Management activities.
Knowledge of Local Government procurement and delivery processes
