Join us as Project Manager for the Process Automation Business Area where you will be leading the execution of medium to large size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, , contractual agreements and obligations, agreed scope of work, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, relevant cyber security regulations and standards and schedule commitments. Reporting to Head of Project Management, this position will be based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, Australia or Perth CBD, WA.
Your responsibilities
- Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring, controlling activities for both internal and external resources in order to accomplish all project goals
- Ensuring compliance to relevant cyber security regulations, standards, and contractual requirements. Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow
- Identifying qualifying, quantifying and managing project risks and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued
- Coordinating with Supply Chain Management and successfully procures required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders
- Defining and applying project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively to avoid possible future schedule deviations with OTD impact
- Applying earned value method to manage critical path and project float to optimize the schedule. Planning and tracking all project activities, establishing scheduling risks and opportunities in order to deliver projects on time according to commitments to the customer and ABB
- Identifying and planning all document deliverables required by the contractual scope of work and incorporating this plan into the overall project plan/schedule
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with Electrical and/or Automation Background
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of proven experience as Project Manager, preferably in the areas of automation, SCADA, electrical controls
- Good hold on communication, both written and oral
- Excellent time management skills
