About the Role
The Commercial and Project Services Division employs dedicated project management resources within sections responsible for delivery of capital works. These teams hold specialist project management staff who are experienced and skilled in: project management and capital delivery, procurement, contract administration, risk management and various engineering disciplines relevant to their field.
This role will develop project management plans and processes and execute the project delivery strategies to ensure quality of work and compliance with the Program and Project Management Framework (PPMF) and the PMO governance requirements.
This role will manage change, risks, and opportunities such that achievement of project goals for the Division is obtained and provide reports to Council and other governance entities as required for consideration and adoption of project activities e.g. tender ratifications.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Associate Degree in Engineering or other related technical qualification.
- Diploma qualifications in project management, or equivalent.
- Current “C” class licence.
- Capacity to obtain Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM- Australian Institute of Project Management).
- Strong experience in project management across the planning and delivery lifecycle and within a structured project management framework.
- Experience in capital infrastructure works (e.g. design, construction, procurement, contract management).
To achieve a higher level, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (essential)
- Advanced Diploma qualifications in Project Management.
- Capacity to obtain Certified Practicing Senior Project Manager (CPSPM - Australian Institute of Project Management).
- RPEQ qualifications or ability to obtain RPEQ qualifications.
