Our client delivers comprehensive projects and technical support to a wide range of clients in government, aviation, defence, and heavy industry sectors. Located in the inner East suburb of Melbourne and paying up to $155K + super.
As a dedicated and experienced Project Manager, you will be responsible for deploying project management and organisational processes to ensure both the profitability and technical
success of projects. This role includes end-to-end project delivery, requiring strong leadership, scope and change management, subcontract management, and project finance skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall financial aspects of projects, including creating forecasts and maintaining cost and revenue budgets in ERP.
- Participate and contribute to sales cases according to the Sales Process.
- Lead project teams, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure project deliverables are managed according to contract and scope.
- Share information and keep main stakeholders informed about project status.
- Negotiating with clients, stakeholders, and team members to reach mutually beneficial agreements for project success.
- Oversee scope, change, and risk management.
- Manage subcontractors effectively.
About you:
- Prior experience as a Project Manager, particularly in managing large international projects
- Strong leadership skills, attention to details, can do attitude with willingness to learn
- Proficiency in risk management, change and scope management.
- Strong planning and execution abilities.
- Strong understanding of business acumen and finance.
- Possess a technical background with a degree in a commercial or technical field
- Project Management qualification (IPMA / PMP / PRINCE2)
- Willing to travel internationally and state-wide for 10-20% of the year
