Due to our continued SAGE growth in Western Australia, we are currently seeking for an experienced and driven Project Manager / Account Manager to join our Kalgoorlie team. Reporting to the General Manager for WA, the Project Manager will be responsible for all project execution and growth within Kalgoorlie and the surrounding regions.
Backed by the national SAGE Group business and Perth / Kalgoorlie team, you will use your industry experience and technical excellence, to develop, lead and manage Project teams to support our client needs in achieving control, enhancing efficiency and improving the value and productivity of their business in WA. The role will involve working with both internal and external stakeholders and will have a strong focus on project execution and account development and ownership, so it is essential that you have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, as well as proven problem-solving skills and account development skills.
Key responsibilities
- Successfully deliver small to large automation projects
- Manage the full lifecycle of automation projects from estimation to commissioning
- Provide effective leadership and direction to the project team
- Account and portfolio management and growth of all industry and sectors within Kalgoorlie
- Update and maintain the CRM system, track, forecast and report on project performance
Essential skills and experience
- Proven experience working in the industrial automation industry as a project manager
- Demonstrated management of the design and construction of industrial electrical and control systems, including concept, design, construction and commissioning phases
- Ability to direct engineering and construction personnel in their daily duties and overall project goals
- Proven ability to bid manage and tender, small to large work packages
- Proven understanding of contract negotiation and administration
- Proven ability to apply project management methodology
- Excellent planning, communication and organisation skills
- A strong focus on delivering customer objectives
- Analytical thinker and decision maker
- Working knowledge of effective account/client management techniques
Key requirements
- Project Management qualification and accreditation with the Australian Institute of Project Management or equivalent organisation is desirable
- 5+ years experience as a Project Manager within the automation industry or similar environment
- Experience in the Resources and Water sector is desirable
- Experience in finance and cost management
- Australian drivers licence
- Must have the right to work in Australia
- Must be based in Kalgoorlie
