Address Seeking an experienced Project Officer to provide support on a major fit-out project, starting ASAP
Your new company
A state government department located in Kensington, are seeking an experienced Project Officer to support an upcoming office fit-out project in the new year. You will be required to work full-time hours Monday - Friday, with one-day work-from-home available. Initially you will be engaged on a temporary contract for 6-months, and will be paid at a competitive hourly rate.
Your new role
As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager by:
Contributing to the development and implementation of all project stages
Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships to support with the delivery of project outcomes
Participate in project team meetings and committees
Monitor the progress of each stage of the project, coordinating reports and correspondence on updates for relevant stakeholders
Support in managing the governance of the project
Other duties as required
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you will demonstrate previous experience working as a Project Officer, in addition to:
Experience using MS Project or Prince2 (highly desirable)
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence acting as a main point of contact for stakeholders
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to monitor project timeline efficiently
Strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently
The ability to provide a National Police Check, or be willing to complete one if successful
