About the Role
We are very proud of our region and the development we are a part of. The Arts, Heritage and Libraries branch enlivens and enriches the lives of residents and visitors through the provision of library services, creative, cultural and heritage programs.
The festival Project Officer will assist the team and Program Lead in the design, development and delivery of the Horizon Festival and arts development initiatives including, but not limited to:
- Providing scheduling and logistics support for the festival program of events, including coordination of volunteers and other staff, ticketing/box office support.
- Assisting in business administration functions such as processing financial transactions, internal/external correspondence, compiling of reports and contracting.
- Conducting research and assisting senior officers to forecast production related expenses.
- Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with all stakeholders including artists, festival partners, other council departments, arts and tourism bodies.
About you
You will succeed in this role if you are an arts and events professional, who can hit the ground running and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
You will possess a positive can-do approach and the initiative to progress tasks will be critical.
You will have demonstrated strong creative vision and organisational skills.
As a requirement of this role, you will possess relevant qualification, or the equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation in arts, creative industries or event management.
