About the Role:
The Project Officer, Board Secretariat and Grants is responsible for providing professional secretariat and project support to the Coast Protection Board (the Board). The role is also responsible for coordinating the Board’s and government grant funding programs by administering financial transactions related to grant funding contracts and projects, monitoring milestone activities, preparing accurate and timely grant funding reports, and maintaining contract registers. The Project Officer, Board Secretariat and Grants provides project support to other Coast and Marine Branch projects and activities to contribute to the achievement of team objectives as required.
Contract: This role is a backfill for up to six months with the possibility of extension.
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- Will be required to undertake field work in coast and marine environments; field work may include boat travel, regional and remote travel and diving.
- A current “C class” Drivers Licence is highly desirable and experience in the use of 4-wheel drive vehicles is desirable.
- A current First Aid Certificate is desirable.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.
