Project Officer opportunity

About the role
Government department seeks an experienced Project Officer to join them on a full-time, short-term contract until end of June 2024. As the Project Officer, you will provide project support and secretariat services to the organisation's Board, as part of a team. The role will involve a high level of management and liaison with internal and external stakeholders pivotal to the successful outcomes of organisation's funded initiatives.
Key duties
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the organisation's Board and Audit and Risk Committee meetings, including logistics and briefing support, preparation of minutes and actions as required.
- Supporting key Board related communications and engagement activities.
- Drafting and reviewing the organisation's Board and Audit and Risk Committee papers as required.
- Supporting the organisation's Regional Council Chairperson meetings and leading planning and logistics for the Regional planning days including briefing support, preparation of minutes and actions as required.
- Induction and supporting for the organisation's Board members.
- Management of the organisation's Board Secretariat inbox.
Qualifications and Experience
The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:
- Prior experience in a secretariat and project support function within a government environment.
- Demonstrable understanding of how Government projects and programs are delivered.
- Proven capability as a self-starter and an ability to effectively undertake work independently.
- Ability to prepare and deliver communications and engagement activities.
- Good communications skills, including the ability to communicate to a range of audiences.
