ABOUT THE DIVISION
As announced as part of the October 2022 Budget, the Department of Finance is leading the development of a National Security Office Precinct (the Precinct) at York Park in Barton, ACT. The Precinct will provide a permanent solution to the critical accommodation and capability requirements of several national security and other Commonwealth agencies including the Office of National Intelligence and parts of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
As an enabling project to the Precinct's development, a multi-level car park will be constructed adjacent to the John Gorton Building in Parkes, ACT (referred to as the John Gorton Campus Car Park).

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
There are currently a number of exciting Project Officer opportunities to work within an energetic, high pace team responsible for delivering this nationally significant project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the delivery of projects by working collaboratively with all stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
- Communicating with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues
- Monitoring client and stakeholder (internal and external) satisfaction and constructively manage issues to achieve project objectives within tight timeframes
- Providing project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality outcomes are in line with approved project plans
- Identifying and collating end user project requirements and developing options for solutions
- Working collaboratively within the project team and engaging with other Commonwealth agencies and external stakeholders including consultants and contractors.
Roles within the Branch will offer the opportunity to work closely with a range of national security and other Commonwealth agencies as well as commercial advisors and specialists including architects, engineers and construction firms.
