About the RoleProvide administrative project support, and coordinate key project activities ensuring timelines are met, and that projects are delivered to a high standard. The Project Officer will play a key role in monitoring and supporting project plans and will work closely with the Strategic Projects Coordinator and strategic initiative owners to ensure successful delivery. This position presents a great opportunity to grow and develop your Project related skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing high level administrative and secretariat support for the strategic project control groups
In collaboration with the Strategic Projects Coordinator, monitoring, planning and tracking issues and activities related to strategic projects
Engaging in written and verbal communications with relevant stakeholders both internally and externally
Who We Are Looking ForYou should be able to demonstrable project coordination skills, ideally gained from working in a large, complex organisation with a large focus on the secretariat aspects. The ideal candidate should possess strong organisational abilities and have a proven track record of prioritising tasks effectively to deliver outcomes in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of accuracy throughout. They should also exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling them to identify and mitigate project risks efficiently. Experience in implementing communication plans and developing promotional materials is essential for this role, along with excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders towards achieving agreed project outcomes is also a key requirement for the position.
You will also have:
Undergraduate relevant qualifications and relevant experience or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Ability to work independently, including exercising sound judgement and initiative
Demonstrated computer skills, including advanced use of MS Office

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
