Job description

In this position, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, USD Foreign currency purchasing, compliance and other accounting duties. You will also analyse purchasing and expense data and identify areas for efficiency and improvements.

Project Outlook are a wholesaler and local manufacturer of window furnishings.  We have a diverse ranging of products and are our products are ranged nationally in both a retail and custom-made format.  We are a family owned business that has been operating for more than 15 years and would love a friendly, outgoing, trustworthy and organised staff member to join our team.

Duties:

  • Manage all facets of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Oversee supplier account reconciliations and ensure compliance with payment terms – for local and overseas suppliers.
  • Perform end to end weekly Payroll and Superannuation Payments.
  • Reconcile invoices and payments, manage credit card reconciliations, and monitor debtor payments.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the Accounts Payable function and assist with the month-end process.
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Prepare and review End of Month reporting 
  • Demonstrate high volume invoicing
  • BAS reports
  • Foreign Currency Exchange
  • Engage with key customers 
  • Establish new supplier Accounts and maintain existing account details within approved terms.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service to the highest level
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
  • Willingness to use MYOB advanced
  • Manage customers over the phone and via email

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience working within a high invoice per day volume
  • Perform full function payroll
  • Skills and experience using Advanced MYOB software
  • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to handle staff queries diligently 
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and develop workplans to achieve deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Independent worker with the capability to contribute to a team environment.
  • 5+ years combined experience in payroll and accounting.
