Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Planner with large scale infrastructure project experience to join our team onsite at Wagga Wagga NSW in a FIFO (fly in, fly out) role. The Project Planner's key focus is to develop and maintain detailed project schedules and to ensure that all schedules are aligned with Elecnor, and our client’s methodologies.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure consistent and robust implementation of planning and scheduling processes across the program of works.
- Assist optimisation of portfolio level plan by leading and integrating the planning deliverables including, work breakdown structure and resource loading across the program.
- Input into the development of standard planning procedures, guidelines, templates, coding to allow consistent planning protocols across the planning team and support compliance to the Elecnor standards.
- Apply earned value management tools and techniques to interpret data and provide timely insight and recommendations on project and program performance.
- Ensure the project planning approach remains fit for purpose by incorporating lessons learnt and feedback to optimise planning processes and standards.
Qualifications and Experience required for this role include:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in Project Planning and Scheduling working on large scale infrastructure projects.
