About Voltex:

Voltex is a leading supplier of electrical accessories to Electrical Contractors in Australia and New Zealand.

We are seeking an experienced and driven State Manager for major projects sales to drive new sales and service to existing and new accounts by building relationships at all levels within our largest contractor accounts and their project sites.

You will deliver WOW service via phone, email and in-person sales activities. Your proven strong communication, time management and organisational skills will ensure you build strong working relationships with new and existing customers to ensure return of business.

The role will be a critical part of driving the Voltex Projects Team sales growth and you will be both highly supported by, and work closely with, the whole Voltex Team.

Giving a high degree of autonomy, this is a great opportunity to own the role and grow within the business! You will be provided on-the-job training, online learning, mentoring and work in a supportive team environment. The successful candidate will embrace the Voltex culture and go above and beyond for customers.

Experience in the electrical industry and with Tier 1 electrical contractors and construction projects is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong and influential relationships with key accounts to accelerate customer engagement and drive growth
  • Build a good understanding of all products and product categories and be able to use this knowledge effectively in customer interactions to drive growth
  • Generate leads and drive new business
  • Continuously drive to improve and maximise sales conversion through understanding and responding to customer needs
  • Achievement of sales targets, KPIs and market share
  • Support BDM activities to service an existing client base
  • Report on sales activities and growth targets
  • Familiarity with the VPOD Methodology

Requirements

  • Must have previous experience selling to the electrical industry, either with one of the leading brands or wholesalers
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and influential relationships
  • Good commercial awareness with a passion and drive to succeed
  • Ability to work autonomously and able to take ownership of results
  • Self-motivated, driven and familiar with remote working condition
