Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced P6 Scheduler to join our team for a construction project in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project scheduling using Primavera P6 software, with a focus on construction projects. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met and resources are optimized.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to understand project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Analyze project requirements and constraints to develop realistic and achievable schedules.
- Identify critical path activities and monitor schedule performance to ensure project milestones are met.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to project stakeholders.
- Conduct schedule analysis and recommend adjustments as necessary to optimize resource utilization and project efficiency.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate schedule-related information to team members.
- Support project controls activities, including cost and resource management, as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in project scheduling and construction management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a P6 Scheduler in construction projects, preferably in the Sydney area.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 software and other project management tools.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, scheduling techniques, and critical path analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with construction industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- PMP or PSP certification is a plus.
