Toner Group with a rich history of more than 20 years is one of Melbourne’s leading multi trade services companies providing plumbing, drainage, roofing, and electrical trade services into the Residential (New Construction), Commercial, Facility & Property Management and Insurance markets. Based out of our Narre Warren head office reporting to the Division Manager Residential we are seeking an experienced and result focused Project Supervisor across our Residential New Construction Plumbing and Drainage works.
Key accountabilities include:
- Supervise / oversee the delivery of works in the field and be the primary point of contact for field-based personnel / trades, providing technical advice and guidance.
- Play a leading role in managing and controlling resource, project delivery, project expenses, equipment, maintenance, and materials.
- Oversee and coordinate follow-up work and new priority works.
- Ensure works are completed and closed out in a timely and efficient manner ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
- Work proactively with key clients to ensure service levels are maintained and adequate stock is on hand to deliver works where applicable.
- Perform routine inspections / audits of completed works to ensure compliance with client specifications, industry best practice and plumbing standards.
- Ensure labour resourcing and material spend is managed and within budget.
- Problem solve / address issues identified through the delivery of work.
- Manage the ordering of materials, hire equipment and/or subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company polies, procedures, and systems of work.
- Actively support the implementation of initiatives focused to deliver improvements in safety, quality, people, and culture.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Qualified and registered plumber with experience in Residential New Construction works essential.
- 8+ years’ experience in above ground plumbing and drainage (sewer and stormwater) works.
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of plumbing and drainage works across single dwellings, dual occupancy and medium density Residential New Construction.
- Advanced computer skills and adaptive to cloud based business software.
- Able to lead by example with excellent communication and time management skills and attention to detail.
- Attention to detail and ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment and think on your feet.
- Technical / trade-based aptitude, with previous experience in plumbing and/or drain clearing not essential but highly regarded.
- Willingness to learn, be adaptive and a positive influence on others.
- Previous experience in a similar role across Residential New Construction Plumbing and drainage not essential but highly regarded.
