As a Project Support Officer at Sequana, you will be a vital member of our project management consulting team, contributing to the successful delivery of medium to large scale projects. Your expertise in project coordination and problem-solving will be instrumental in ensuring project efficiency and effectiveness. We are seeking a proactive, solutions-focused individual, preferably with exposure to large government projects. What you do
- Project Support and Coordination: Provide comprehensive support to Project Managers in planning, organising, and coordinating various aspects of medium to large infrastructure projects.
- Assist in monitoring project progress and milestone achievement, reporting any potential issues to the relevant managers.
- Use business systems to maintain project dashboards or tracking systems to monitor project progress and key milestones.
- Document Control and Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of a robust document control system for major projects, ensuring accurate records, version control, and accessibility.
- Work with project managers to proactively identify project challenges and develop practical solutions to keep projects on track. Organise regular project meetings, distribute agendas, and capture meeting minutes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues promptly and effectively, contributing to successful project outcomes.
- Support resource allocation and scheduling for project tasks. Assist in tracking resource availability and utilisation using business systems to ensure optimal project performance.
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare regular project status reports for various stakeholders, highlighting key accomplishments, challenges, and upcoming milestones.
- Contribute to the culture of continuous improvement and efficiency by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of professional integrity and confidentiality associated with the data entry and management of records.
Who you are
Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor's degree or similar relevant qualifications in Business, Project Management or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in project coordination or Project Support roles.
- Proactive and solutions focused with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated technology skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite and an appreciation for the importance of document management and quality assurance to ensure project deliverables and records align with business expectations.
- Knowledge of Government stakeholder processes and procedures is preferred.
- Display a high aptitude for learning and adopting new technologies relevant to project management and consulting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with the ability to work autonomously when required.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise concurrent tasks.
- Experience efficiently managing project team calendars and schedules, ensuring optimal time management and resource utilisation.
