The Albury Wodonga Regional Hospital Project (AWRHP) is a $558million initiative of the NSW, Victorian and Federal governments to deliver a facility that will support high quality, accessible and contemporary services and models of care to the Albury Wodonga region. As part of the AWH Capital Redevelopment team the Project Support Officer will provide a range of administrative and Project Support service delivery. The Project Support Officer will utilise their knowledge and experience to operate independently with regards to core administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the AWH Capital Redevelopment team, inclusive of developing and distributing specific communication plans and other documents, purchasing tasks (obtaining quotations, raising requisitions, invoice processing), agenda and minutes of meetings, updating financial and project status reports, maintaining records, independently sourcing & collating data, sourcing reference material and responding to queries.
Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans.
Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices to ensure the delivery of projects complies with agreed project management methodology.
Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning.
Assist the Capital Redevelopment team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.
Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.
Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers, to support project management delivery.
Co-ordination of meetings for user groups, working groups and other consultative groups for design, delivery and commissioning of the project.
Selection Criteria:
Possess organisational skills required to set priorities and monitor work flow in the area of responsibility.
Demonstrable experience with a range off administrative functions, in particular purchasing and accounts management, record keeping (hard copy and electronic) and client services systems.
Ability to write reports, documents and correspondence, including drafting complex correspondence for senior officers, accurately and clearly.
Advanced MS Office skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and experience with Microsoft 365 and teams.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with the project team, district management and key stakeholders.
Desirable
Background in Health, Government or Project roles.
