Queensland Hydro is a publicly owned entity established by the Queensland Government to design, deliver, operate and maintain long duration pumped hydro energy storage assets that will be the cornerstone for the transformation of the state’s energy system.
The organisation will drive delivery of world-class pumped hydro assets to provide the long-term storage and reliability needed to power Queensland’s clean energy future. The organisation will play a critical role in assisting the Queensland Government to meet its renewable energy targets and net zero emissions by 2050, supporting the shift in the Australian economy to a decarbonised energy system.
The role
The Project Support Office will play a key role in enabling an effective and efficient Borumba team. The position will support a range of team members across a number of Project Support, administrative functions and management tasks.
The key accountabilities will include:
- Deliver general administration duties in a timely and effective manner including arranging travel, proofing, and editing information.
- Develop, report, minute and collate project information to ensure accuracy and that business requirements are met.
- Assist in preparing and coordinating workshops/meetings including presentations, materials, and catering.
- Provide administrative support to the Borumba project team as required across the Nambour, Imbil and Site offices.
- Coordinate employee and Contractor onboarding and offboarding, in line with company processes.
- Organise site visits for internal and external stakeholders ensuring site health and safety requirements are met.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as required.
- Coordinate stationary, equipment, and general office supplies for the Nambour, Imbil and Site offices.
- Assist Facilities with the coordination of PPE orders for employees and contractors and maintain adequate levels of available PPE for visitors.
- Provide administrative support for regional office pool vehicle bookings and maintenance including vehicle registers/databases.
- Identify and contribute to the implementation of administrative processes and procedure improvements.
- General administration, data entry, maintenance of records and databases and other duties as required.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
Qualifications and Licenses:
Essential:
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant professional experience
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, problem solving, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate activities in a team environment to meet deadlines, and to be flexible in a changing work environment
- Ability in the use of Microsoft Office programs and the ability to acquire knowledge of relevant software packages
- Experience as an Office Administrator in a diverse, complex, medium to large organisation
- Demonstrated ability in administrative procedures (creation and maintenance of registers)
- Demonstrated skills in supporting stakeholders to develop correspondence, reports and presentations
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
- Document management skills
- Experience in utilising technology that can assist with time management, scheduling, and prioritising
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
