The Role and our BranchProgram Kaartdijin has been established to develop a functionally fit, technologically robust solution to replace the current School Information System (SISClassic) and include additional information capture and reportability. The Program focuses on providing short term solutions as well as a longer-term solution that meets the operational needs of schools and the reporting and management needs of the Department at large. The Program vision is to provide a contemporary administrative and finance solution connecting people, processes and systems for school communities now and into the future.The new Kaartdijin Solution will replace the SISClassic suite of applications currently used in 800+ schools throughout Western Australia. The Department has contracted TechnologyOne as the provider of the core finance functionalities and Compass Education as the provider of the billing, student administration and school administration functionalities for schools.The Program values are:

We encourage all applicants with diverse professional experiences to apply.Program Kaartdijin is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual for the role of Project Support Officer - Training and Support to assist the Program with co-ordination, administration, and related activities. The role acts as the Program’s executive officer to organise, record and report on a range of governance meetings including producing or assisting in the creation and maintenance of relevant program documentation such as project schedules, status reports, meeting minutes and action lists.Reporting to the Training and Support Manager, this position will form part of the Program Management Office which supports and assists the wider Program team, as well as the Training team.The role requires someone who is able to demonstrate a high-level of practical experience and skills related to project administration and Support; including budget tracking, accounts processing, and tracking against project schedules. The successful applicant will apply their knowledge of a formal project methodology (preferably PRINCE2) in supporting substantial projects, preparing and managing documents and records.The Project Support OfficerTraining and Support will assist in the development and implementation of communication plans, templates and initiatives in support of business engagement. They will be required to provide data analysis and management information in support of improved decision making and optimising resource allocation. They will be required to assist in the coordination and booking of training locations, flights, catering, communications etc.Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office products (Such as Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Project and Outlook), will be a key requirement of this role.   • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
  • complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
  • complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
