- Relevant experience in a project management environment, preferably in the maritime industry.
- Strong background in administration and records management.
- Demonstrated strength in written communications.
- Demonstrated experience in project management or project administration, ideally within a maritime environment.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders in relation to complex issues, along with the ability to tailor communication style and language according to audience’s level of knowledge, skill and experience, including those with English as a second language.
- Be responsible and accountable for data and records management for the project.
- Assist in the preparation of correspondence, briefs and reports as directed including submissions and documents for higher delegate and committee consideration.
- Will have demonstrated strength in attention to detail and time management.
- Exercise a considerable degree of independence and be capable of operating in a multifaceted team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to apply project management methodologies to administrative and technical activities.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound decision making and judgement to provide expert advice.
- Accountable to manage a range of project activities and coordinate project inputs in accordance with organizational practices, methods and standards appropriate to the complexity of the project.
- Interpret and ensure compliance through adjusting project management methodologies with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, specifically related to Australian and International Maritime construction and operation.
- Takes the initiative to resolve issues by identifying and developing ideas through analysis of alternative courses of action and their implications.
