This role is primarily responsible for assisting the road design team in managing its projects to deliver the projects on time and to budget whilst achieving multiple objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the road design team in managing its projects to deliver them on time and to budget.
- Assist in preparing project finance - design budgets and project scope documents.
- Assist in preparing Request for quotes and technical evaluation of design tenders.
- Manage project administration including preparation of purchase orders, invoice payments and the project/milestone reporting.
- Complete purchase order requests after tender evaluation for purchase order creation.
- Check invoices/variations received from the consultants and assist with processing.
- Prepare project action plans, update project correspondence and comply with Council's record management requirements.
- Relevant qualifications in Project Administration and/or job-related experience preferably within Civil Engineering.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations.
- Current class C driver's license.
- Skilled in the use of computer software, MS word, excel, outlook, project etc.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and ability to work within a team environment.
