About The Opportunity
The Promotions and Engagement Officer will provide effective promotion of the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre with an emphasis on engagement with the community and assisting to achieve ticket sales by developing and managing the website and social media pages, coordination of databases, e-newsletters, flyers, mailouts and other internal and external promotional channels. You will also deliver events and activities to support the venue including openings, launches, fundraisers and school holiday and community events in the venue.
About You
- Qualifications in a relevant field of marketing, corporate communications, public relations, journalism or related discipline and/or substantial experience in a medium to large organisation.
- Experience in using graphic design software to provide quality marketing, public relations and promotional materials to support programs and/or events.
- Experience in developing public and marketing plans based on identifying and meeting Media and communication needs.
- Experience in developing community engagement activities in arts and cultural industry is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to identify media opportunities and to research, write, edit and prepare media releases, speeches, articles and other relevant text to prescribed deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and workflows using Microsoft office software packages.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team in a professional and positive manner.
