My client is a prominent distributor within the retail / FMCG industry located on the Brisbane Southside. They have experienced growth and are about to embark on a new direction, so this is an exciting time to join!
The opportunity has arisen for a Promotions coordinator to support the Category Managers in ensuring that the brand(s) is presented consistently, campaigns are delivered to deadline, and that the company remains visible in the market with a competitive merchandise range in price and depth. Co-ordination of weekly catalogues, online creative, promotional / marketing media / POS and reporting advices to retail stores.
This person will likely be in a similar role now, another relevant role or could be a recent graduate (although a degree is not essential) with some experience in retail or the supplier side and has an ambition to grow into a category manager role in the next few years. We are looking for candidates with the drive to succeed, learn and develop.
Responsibilities:
* Manage direct report(s) Promotions/Marketing Assistant
* Prepare, attend and participate in team meetings when requested
* Source relevant information from Category Manager/Buyers/Suppliers to develop catalogue production
* Identify and Coordinate tasks for the development of Catalogues, Media formats & communications.
* Create/Communicate Timelines for all Promotional & Seasonal Theming and activities
* Create Yearly promotional plan & Campaigns
* Coordinate and ensure accuracy of promotional uploads
* Create & provide catalogue brief Theming to marketing agency and report back to CM Team
* Create the weekly catalogue, and/or additional catalogue layouts for marketing
* Communicate catalogue checks to CM(s) and Buyer(s)
* Review all go to market formats ensuring accuracy of communication prior to print media content delivery
* Review & finalise promotional host and promotional pack for stores
* Ensure all supplier/customer service calls are responded to within 24 hours
* Ensure all emails are responded to within 48 hours or escalate as appropriate
* Comply with and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner aligned with business processes all company
Skills & experience:
* Year 12 certificate of higher
* MS office competency level 2 or higher
* Previous experience in Retail / Wholesale or FMCG company preferred
* Promotions/Marketing Media Point of Sale and systems maintenance experience
* Ability to think laterally and approach challenges from a number of angles
* Administrative, communication, planning, interpersonal, analytical skills
* A basic understanding in business promotions, marketing platforms and execution techniques
* General administration
