Our client is a leading non-bank lending lender and private equity investor in the real estate sector. With a well established brand and being one of the premier organisations in their industry they continue to grow from strength to strength.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Analyst/Associate to support the investments team. The main function of the role is to deliver timely and effective investment modelling to support complex transactions, new product development, portfolio monitoring and reporting. There is a well-worn pathway for career progression and opportunity to expand into origination and other functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the investment teams on credit proposals;
- Provide timely transaction structuring guidance and set out required risk mitigants for all project, counterparty and repayment risks;
- Design, build and review a range of financial models including, but not limited to transaction models and portfolio management models.
- Support the development and delivery of strategic model-based frameworks.
- Portfolio updating, monitoring, and analysis using portfolio models and inputs gathered from investment, distribution, operations and finance divisions.
- Provide accurate, relevant and timely qualitative and quantitative management reporting at both a loan and portfolio level.
- Monitor, analyse and report on portfolio composition, returns and risk exposures across a range of investment vehicles.
- Provide reconciliation assistance and performance analysis to investors, working closely with the Operations Team and external Fund Administrator.
About You:
- A relevant Degree in Commerce and Business (finance-related discipline)
- 3+ years experience gained within a dedicated modelling team (banking or other)
- Advanced Excel capability and experience
- Financial Services or Commercial Property experience (Banks, Financial Institutions, Private Investment Firms / Groups or related profession) highly regarded.
- CFA highly regarded but not essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong financial analysis and interpretation skills
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal)
