ABOUT THE BRANCH & SECTIONThe Climate Action and Property Data Branch is responsible for the Government’s policy for the Australian Public Service to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2030. This includes:
- policy development, guidance and advice to support Australian Government agencies to measure, report and reduce the emissions from their operations.
- policy development and implementation of the Government’s policy to apply appropriately tailored climate-related disclosure requirements to Commonwealth public sector corporate entities and investment funds that are comparable to large businesses and financial institutions.
The Climate Action and Property Data Branch is responsible for the Australian Government Property RegisterThe Property Data section’s key functions are to manages all aspects of Australian Government Property Register, including information management and communication. This includes:
- Managing the daily operations and the end-to-end administration of the Owned and Leased Estate data collections including:
- Maintaining operational efficiency, meeting customer needs, expanding the awareness of the capability with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Creation and publication of the Australian Government Office Occupancy Report.
- Administering accurate and timely data reporting to support decision-making across the division.
- Driving innovation by identifying opportunities for new data-driven initiatives identified through the annual review of the Property and Construction Divisions Data Strategy, property policy reviews and Commonwealth property stakeholder community.
- Support continuous improvement, exploring emerging technologies, conducting pilots to test new ideas, and partnering with other teams to develop cross-functional solutions.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYThe
Property Information Manager (EL1) will lead the
Property Information and System Administration team in the Property Data section.In this position, you will have the chance to shape how the Property and Construction Division uses information by managing the operational activities of the
Property Information and System Administration team.
- Manage the daily operations and the end-to-end administration of the Australian Government Property Register supported by a third party.
- Lead a team that:
- provides accurate and timely reporting to support decision-making across the division.
- develops dashboards, creates data models, and conducts ad-hoc analyses as needed.
- Assist the Director redesign the Australian Government Office Occupancy Report.
- Identify new information sources and negotiate access to relevant information sets across the Division and industry.
- Develop business cases for systems and tools to improve operational activities.
- Engage and consult with stakeholders in the development, implementation and validation of asset management and financial information and processes.
- Support and action continuous improvement activities in asset management practices.
- Assist in the management of financial and asset management information for the purposes of budget submissions.
