The Temple Society Australia (TSA) is an independent progressive Christian-based community in Melbourne. Our vision is a more just, compassionate world in harmony with our environment, achieved through community connections.
The TSA is looking to fill the role of Property Maintenance Coordinator (PMC) on a pro-rata 0.8-time fraction. There is the opportunity to be engaged either as a casual staff member or contractor arrangement.
This is a very important role within the TSA as the incumbent will be expected to be able to manage all property and facilities requirements across three sites: Bayswater, Bentleigh and Meadowbank (NSW). Importantly the TSA requires a person who is highly motivated, pro-active, able to use initiative and a skilled negotiator. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a requirement to regularly work outside normal operating hours.
The role is varied, challenging and that of a methodical, well organised person able to meet multiple challenges concurrently. It is expected that the PMC will have the capacity to undertake the role autonomously with minimal supervision. The incumbent will innovate and further improve current organisational processes and practices to enhance services.
Additionally, there is the opportunity to also attach to the role the responsibilities for a Groundskeeper on a 0.2-time fraction, though this will be discussed with applicants at the interview stage.
Written applications including a cover letter, resume and names and details of three referees close at 5.00pm on Wednesday 8th May 2024. Applications should be marked private and confidential and sent (by mail or email) according to the details in the position description.
If you would like a copy of the position description please contact the TSA office – 9557 6713. If you have any further questions please contact John, Executive Officer, Temple Society Australia on 9557 6713.
