The Company

Paragon Talent Solutions, a boutique recruitment organisation, specializing in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering and Operational Technology has been engaged to assist a global organisation who manufacture, design and deliver automation solutions to a broad client base including the Oil & Gas, Mining & Metals and Rail industries.
  
Due to growth, a new opportunity has become available for a Proposals Engineer. This is a Perth based position and would suit a candidate who will be responsible for developing comprehensive proposals that effectively showcase our products and services to prospective clients. Working closely with our sales, engineering, and project management teams, you will craft tailored solutions that address the specific requirements and challenges of each customer.

The Position
  
Responsibilities as a Proposals Engineer include:

• Lead proposal development, quotations, and tender responses with sales and engineering teams
• Utilise technical expertise to assess customer needs and recommend solutions
• Prepare accurate cost estimates considering materials, labour, and overhead costs
• Develop high-quality proposal documents and presentations aligned with company branding
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for proposals
• Engage with customers to clarify requirements and present proposed solutions
• Stay updated on industry trends and continuously improve proposal strategies

This is an exciting period for this client who is currently very busy. This position would suit an Engineering professional who wishes to work for a global business where they can use their technical expertise as well as learn new products. You will ideally possess sound technical knowledge with Industrial Automation products including SCADA, HMI’s and PLC’s. A very competitive salary package comprising of a base salary of $90K - $100K plus bonus (up to 20%) plus super is available for the successful candidate.
  
Your Experience
  
To be considered for these positions, you will possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• Proven experience in proposal engineering, sales support, or business development in OEM or related industry
• An understanding of Control Systems, specifically SCADA, PLC and HMI’s would be beneficial
• Strong technical aptitude to understand and translate complex engineering concepts into customer-focused solutions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for clear articulation of technical information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and proposal management software
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork, with a customer-centric mindset and a drive for continuous improvement
